Bruce R. Steinfeld, a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and formerly a shareholder with the Atlanta law firm of Alembik, Fine & Callner, P.A., practices exclusively in the area of family law, in Georgia. He received his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law in 1988, earning an American Jurisprudence award in his Jurisprudence class and serving as an editor of the Journal of International Dispute Resolution. His Bachelor of Arts degree (in literature and philosophy) and Master of Arts degree (in philosophy) were earned from Binghamton University in New York, gaining faculty approval of his masters' thesis, The End of Autonomy: A Kantian Interpretation and Utilitarian Response to Rawlsian Justice. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Dorothy A. Robinson, Cobb County Superior Court. A frequent lecturer on various family-law related topics at continuing legal education seminars, Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association (having served as Editor-in-Chief of the Section's monthly newsletter, The Family Lawyer), as well as on the State Bar of Georgia's Family Law Study Committee and the Atlanta Bar Association's Civil Rules Committee for it Family Law Section. He is also a member of a variety of civic and professional organizations including the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association (participating in the family law sections of both). A graduate of the acclaimed National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a sought after Guardian ad Litem, he regularly coaches youth baseball, soccer, and basketball teams. He is licensed to practice in all Georgia Courts and the United States Supreme Court.
